LPIC is the certification by the Linux Professional Institute and has established itself to be the standard linux certification.

There are three certification levels that are build on one another.
Meaning if you want to get the LPIC-3 certification you have to complete LPIC-1 and 2 first.

Each certification consists of multiple exams that test your knowledge of different aspects of linux and open source.
You can attend these at specific testing facilities, the costs are usually 80-150€ each and you have 90min time.

You can attend these exams for less money on some conventions and events where LPI or other partners are on-site.

Since upon starting this blog I have already achieved LPIC-1 and LPIC-2, most articles are going to be LPIC-3.
